The organization has also been working to increase its impact beyond the city limits, with initiatives focused on building connections and collaboration between leaders in Chicago and other parts of the Midwest. In recent years, LGC has expanded its programs to include initiatives focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as efforts to address systemic challenges facing the Chicago region. Its flagship program, the Fellows Program, brings together leaders from the corporate, non-profit, and government sectors to participate in a nine-month program designed to expand their leadership skills and connect them with other leaders in the community. LGC was founded in 1983 and has since worked to develop and connect civic leaders across the Chicago metropolitan area. In the interim, LGC’s Chief Operating Officer Waverly Deutsch will serve as the organization’s interim CEO. The board has launched a search for a new CEO and said that it will be conducting a national search for candidates. The organization’s board of directors praised Wynne’s contributions in a statement, saying that she had “taken LGC to new heights.” Under Wynne’s leadership, LGC, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on cultivating civic leaders in the Chicago area, grew its membership and expanded its programs. The statement said that her departure was due to personal reasons. Wynne, who has led LGC for six years, announced that she would be stepping down at the end of April 2023. ![]()
